Do it Yourself Spot Removal

  • Spills and Stains should be treated IMMEDIATELY.
  • The longer a spot remains, the more difficult it will be to remove.
  • Always apply the solvents or detergents to a Terry Cloth First!!!
  • Never apply solvents or detergent solutions directly to the carpet!

SHOE POLISH
1. Apply dry-cleaning solvent (lacquer thinner) to a terry cloth, blot.
2. Repeat.
3. Apply detergent solution (mix one teaspoonful of a colorless, mild detergent or dishwashing liquid in lukewarm water) blot.
4. Apply ammonia solution (mix one tablespoon of clear household ammonia with one-half cup of water) blot.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water using a terry cloth, blot until dry.

SOFT DRINKS
1. Apply cold detergent solution (mix one teaspoonful of a colorless, mild
detergent or dishwashing liquid in cold water) to a terry cloth, blot.
2. Apply ammonia solution (mix one tablespoon of clear household ammonia
with one-half cup of water) blot.
3. Apply vinegar solution (mix one-third cup of white household vinegar with
two-thirds cup of water), blot.
4. Rinse with water using a terry cloth, blot until dry.
